About the role

Milemarker is the data infrastructure behind advisory firms, broker-dealers, and aggregators. As a Solutions Engineer, you are the technical partner in every deal. You learn how a firm’s data actually moves today, from custodians to CRM to portfolio accounting, and design how Milemarker will make it work better. You sit between our growth team, our implementation team, and our customers, and you make sure what we sell is what we build.

What you’ll do

• Lead technical discovery with RIAs, broker-dealers, and other prospects to map their current systems, data flows, and pain points.

• Design solutions across the Milemarker platform, including the Data Engine, integrations, Console, and Command Center.

• Build and deliver tailored demos and proofs of concept using real customer scenarios.

• Write SQL against sample and live data to prove out reporting, metrics, and data quality approaches.

• Scope integrations with custodians, CRMs, and portfolio management systems such as Schwab, Salesforce, Redtail, Orion, and Addepar.

• Write clear solution designs and statements of work, then hand them off cleanly to implementation.

• Bring customer feedback back to Product so the roadmap reflects what firms actually need.

What you’ll bring

• 3+ years in a solutions engineering, sales engineering, consulting, or technical implementation role.

• Advanced SQL. You are comfortable writing joins, window functions, and CTEs on messy, real-world data.

• A deep background in wealth management technology: custodial data, CRM, portfolio accounting, performance reporting, or billing.

• The ability to explain technical tradeoffs to a COO and a data engineer in the same meeting.

• Genuine enjoyment of time with customers. This is a people-facing role.

Nice to have

• Experience with Snowflake or another modern cloud data warehouse.

• Familiarity with APIs, data pipelines, and ETL/ELT tooling.

• Experience at an RIA, broker-dealer, or wealthtech vendor.
