Future Proof Festival 2026
September 14-17, 2026 · Huntington Beach, CA
Future Proof is the largest wealth management event of the year and the only one held outdoors on a beach. Roughly 4,000 advisors, firm leaders, asset managers and technology companies take over Huntington Beach for four days. The festival format — multiple stages, continuous programming, no walled-off exhibit hall — is deliberately designed to break the rhythm of a traditional conference, and it is the reason the event has become the industry's signature gathering in under five years.
Who attends Future Proof
The attendee mix is unusually broad for a wealth event: solo RIA founders sit alongside executives running multi-billion-dollar enterprises. Expect CEOs, CTOs, COOs and heads of operations — the people who actually make decisions about technology infrastructure, data strategy and operating models — plus a heavy contingent of asset managers, custodians, fintech founders and financial media.
What's on the agenda
AI adoption in advisory firms, and what separates a pilot from production
Practice growth, M&A strategy and the economics of consolidation
Investment trends, private markets and portfolio construction
Advisor and client experience design
The role of data across every part of a firm's operations
How to get the most out of it
Future Proof rewards planning. Sessions run in parallel across stages and the beachside format means the highest-value conversations often happen between them rather than in them. Build a shortlist of the twenty people you want to meet before you arrive, and treat the agenda as a backdrop rather than a schedule.
Why the data conversation dominates this event
Almost every theme on the Future Proof agenda eventually lands on the same constraint. AI initiatives stall because the underlying data is fragmented. M&A integrations run long because an acquired firm's CRM, custodian feeds and portfolio management system don't talk to the acquirer's stack. Real-time reporting stays out of reach because the numbers live in eight places. The firms that scale are the ones that treated their data layer as infrastructure before they needed it to be.
Milemarker is the data infrastructure layer for wealth management, unifying data across 130+ systems — custodians, CRMs, portfolio management, planning, billing, reporting and document management — on architecture that is vendor-agnostic and AI-ready.
