Milemarker 1.7 – The Notifications Overhaul (and more)
Hey everyone,
We’re back with another Milemarker release – and this one is packing some serious upgrades. We focused heavily on notifications (how they load, how you view them, how they’re grouped, and more). Sprinkle in some design and performance tweaks across the board, and you’ve got Version 1.7. Here’s the rundown:
1. Better Notifications 📣
• Short Lists & Loading States: The notification dropdown loads faster, shows when it’s thinking, and gracefully handles empty states.
• Infinite Scrolling: Keep scrolling and new notifications keep loading (no more “Click to see older notifications” button).
• Filter by Type: Need to see only system alerts? Or brand mentions? You can now multi-select exactly what you want.
• Date Grouping & Unread Count: Notifications are bunched by date, and your unread total is prominently displayed. Because who doesn’t like a big fat number screaming “Fix me!”?
• Mark as Read & Redirect: Click a notification and watch it auto-mark as read and whisk you away to the relevant page.
• Notification Preferences: Fine-tune your notification feed. No more spam – well, at least not from us!
2. Model & Page Builder Upgrades 🛠️
• Inner Page Stats: Get deeper insights on each model’s page without toggling around.
• Metric View Paddings & X-axis Fix: Line charts and metrics now fit snugly where they belong, so your data looks good and is easier to read.
• Tooltip on Long Descriptions: If you’ve got a model name that goes on forever, hover to see the full text. No more guesswork.
3. Performance & Fixes 🏎️
• Memory Limit Updates: We bumped the PHP memory limit to handle larger files. Because bigger is sometimes better.
• Phone Number Validation: We removed pesky “unique phone number” warnings that kept popping up.
• File Ingestion Memory Leak: Squashed a sneaky bug that was causing big uploads to misbehave.
• Various UI Cleanups: Smoothed out scrolling, z-index overlaps, icon hover states, and more – let’s call them “the invisible improvements that make your day better.”
4. Workflow Chat & Requests 💬
• 50Mb Attachment Limit: The system now politely tells you if you’re trying to attach something heavier than 50Mb.
• Timestamp & Timezone Fixes: No more weird time-travel messages in your workflow requests.
• Workflow Assignation Notifications: Every time a request gets assigned, you’ll hear about it. Nice and simple.
5. Other Notables 📝
• Support Link in the Menu: Sometimes, you just need a helping hand. We added a support page link in your static menu.
• Sorted Models: We now serve up custom ID sequence sorts in your models, so you can find what you need faster.
• Menus & Springboards: Label styles got freshened up, and we’ve stomped out that weird menu manager bug.
